Who Will Be the Next Chief Twit?

The billionaire and Twitter CEO Elon Musk lost a straw poll on the social media site he posted. CNBC’s David Faber reported that he is actively looking for a new chief twit for Twitter Inc.

According to results published Monday morning, more than 10 million votes, or 57.5%, were cast in favor of Musk stepping down. Musk committed to following the results when he launched the poll. But he also tweeted more than ten times without addressing them a day later. Musk stated, “interesting” when asked about the survey being manipulated by bots in a tweet.

Musk stated Twitter would limit voting on large policy decisions to paying Twitter Blue users in one of his first tweets following the survey. Thus the chief twit announced a new policy move.

Musk agreed that only subscribers should have a voice in future policy. He said, “Twitter will make that change,” when asked about a Blue member going by the name Unfiltered Boss.

Musk said that Major Policy Moves Would Be Voted On

The billionaire previously promised to put all future policy choices to a vote. He also promised to provide Twitter members a voice in deciding who should lead the firm he purchased for $44 billion in October.

Musk made a dramatic offer soon after attending the World Cup final in Qatar. He prompted a slew of trending topics such as “VOTE YES” and “CEO of Twitter,” and he didn’t specify who might replace him.

Musk has claimed that Twitter is on the verge of going bankrupt. He even imposed a “hardcore” working environment for the remaining employees following a severe reduction in personnel. The chief twit scared advertisers and alienated Twitter’s most engaged tweeters. Additionally, he turned the platform from reflecting current events to the primary topic in less than two months in office.

Musk is also CEO of Tesla Inc. After losing the first poll, he retweeted promotional material for the automobile company and Twitter’s Blue for Business service. He also made a simple “Wow” when an article discussing rivals Toyota Motor Corp.’s criticism of electric cars was mentioned.

Since the Twitter purchase, Tesla’s stock has dropped dramatically. Observers claim that Musk is spending too much time being a chief twit.
