Is Indian Stock Exchange open on Good Friday or not?

Due to Good Friday, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) will not operate on April 7, 2023, which is today. This means that there is no trading on the Indian stock exchanges today. According to the April 2023 stock market holiday list, trading on BSE and NSE won’t work throughout the Friday session, which is on April 7, 2023.

The stock market will reopen on Monday, April 10, at its usual time. Since Good Friday isn’t a Federal holiday, other things will be open.

Following the stock market holiday list of 2023, which is available on the Bombay Stock Exchange website, no shares are listed in the Equities Segment, Equity Derivatives Segment, and SLB segment today. Trading in the Currency Derivatives Segments remains suspended on the Indian stock market today to mark Good Friday celebrations nationwide.

The US bond market opens at 8 am EDT at the usual time on Friday but close early at noon EDT. Normal business hours will apply on Monday.

Banks are also open; it is worth checking opening times before heading out. Local Good Friday celebrations may differ from federal government celebrations.

Actions on other markets

Morning and evening trading remain suspended in the Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR) segment and the Commodity Derivatives Segment. This means no actions exist on National Commodity Exchange (NCDEX) and Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).

Other stock market holidays in April 20223
