Apple banned its employees from using ChatGPT

The Apple company banned employees from using ChatGPT, mostly due to fear of leaking sensitive data. Still, also the fact that the chatbot is increasingly integrated into Microsoft’s tools, writes The Wall Street Journal.

Although this news comes suddenly, it is common. Namely, Bloomberg’s reporter and analyst, Mark Gurman, recently announced on Twitter that ChatGPT has been on Apple’s restricted software list for months.

Gurman wrote that ChatGPT had been banned or restricted software at Apple for months. The release of ChatGPT on iOS makes this relevant again.

As a reminder, ChatGPT has recently been available in the form of an official mobile application on iOS. It can be downloaded for free on the App Store and will soon be available on Android.

Gates: Soon, the end of search engines and online stores

One of the founders of Microsoft, billionaire Bill Gates, said that the development of AI agents would replace search engines and online sales sites.

The well-known philanthropist spoke at the “AI Forward 2023” event organized by Goldman Sachs. That we will never go to a search engine site again, we will never go to Amazon. Whoever wins the position of personal agent will be a big deal.

Microsoft’s Bing search engine surpassed 100 million daily users earlier this month, B92 reports.

Commenting on the progress of AI, Gates added that he was impressed by the Inflection AI chatbot co-founded by Reid Hoffman, the American entrepreneur behind the business-oriented social network LinkedIn.
