Wall Street Tumbled, NASDAQ Composite Sharply Fell 1.21%

On Wednesday, July 28, Wall Street stocks tumbled led by the NASDAQ Composite Index while global stocks crashed as the EU and Asia Pacific stock markets declined.

The NASDAQ Composite Index led the fall by 1.21% with a net loss of $180.14. This sent the stocks below at $14,661 per share.

Its worst performers include SkyWater Technology Inc. which plummeted 45.43% or 13.11 points to $15.75 per share.

This was followed by Bit Digital Inc. which slipped 33.60% or 2.98 points to $5.89 per share.

Additionally, Infinity Pharmaceuticals Inc. also sank 31.53% or 0.70 points to $1.52 per share.

Likewise, the benchmark S&P 500 dropped 0.47% with a net decline of $20.84. This sent the stocks lower at $4,401 per share.

Lamb Weston Holdings Inc. led its losses by 13.53% or 10.29 points to $65.79 per share.

This was followed by United Parcel Service Inc. which fluctuated 6.99% or 14.67 points to $195.19 per share.

Also, Activision Blizzard Inc. slumped 6.76% or 6.09 points to $84.05 per share.

Consequently, the Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged 0.24% with a net fall of $85.79. This sent the stocks to the bottom at $35,059 per share.

Its bottom performers were led by Intel Corp. which flopped 2.08% or 1.13 points to $53.18 per share.

This was followed by Salesforce.com Inc. which was down 1.65% or 4.09 points to $243.51 per share.

In addition, Boeing Co. also decreased 1.59% or 3.58 points to $222.27 per share.

Global Stocks Crashed

Moreover, the MSCI Global Index crashed 0.37% with a net decline of $11.53 which sent the stocks to the ground at $3,068.87 per share.

In the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, both the DAX and the MDAX Performance Index shrank 0.64% or 99.85 points to $15,519 and 0.45% or 157.30 points to $34,931, respectively.

Likewise, London’s FTSE All Share Index and FTSE 100 Index eased 0.39% or 15.70 points to $4,010 and 0.42% or 29.35 points to $6,996, respectively.

Furthermore, China’s SZSE Component and SSE Composite Index both lost 0.33% or 46.18 points to $14,047.46 and 0.60% or 20.38 points to $3,360.80, respectively.

In the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the broader TOPIX Index and the Nikkei 225 both plummeted 0.73% or 14.21 points to $1,923.83 and 1.16% or 324.00 points to $27,646.22, respectively.
