Wall Street Crashed, NASDAQ led Losses by 0.93%

On Wednesday, August 18, Wall Street crashed as the NASDAQ Composite led the losses by 0.93%. While global stocks mixed as Asia Pacific stocks were all up.

On Wall Street, the NASDAQ Composite fluctuated 0.93% with a net loss of $137.58. This sent stocks to the bottom at $14,656 per share.

Helbiz Inc led the benchmark’s losses as it fell 29.67% or 3.24 points to $7.68 per share.

TuanChe Ltd. ADR followed as it sank 26.77% or 0.68 points to $1.85 per share. Then, View Inc subsided 24.32% or 1.26 points to $3.92 per share.

Consequently, the Dow Jones Industrial Average pulled Wall Street down by 0.79% with a net decline of $282.12. This sent the stock below at $35,343 per share.

Its worst performers were Caterpillar Inc which sank $1.96$ or 4.27 points to $213.44 per share.

Then, Boeing Co shed 2.99% or 6.84 points to $222.22 per share. Also, Home Depot Inc plunged 4.27% or 14.30 points to $320.75 per share.

Likewise, the Dow Jones Utility Average plummeted 0.07% with a net fall of $0.62. This sent the stocks to the ground at $943.92 per share.

Moreover, Wall Street’s S&P 500 Index tumbled 0.71% with a net loss of $31.63. This sent the stocks to the bottom at $4,448 per share.

Global Stocks Mixed as Wall Street Fell

Furthermore, global stocks were mixed as Wall Street fell and Asia Pacific stocks climbed.

The MSCI World Index plummeted 0.70% with a net decline of $21.87. This sent the stocks down at $3,100.12 per share.

In the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, the DAX collapsed 0.02% or 3.78 points to $15,922 per share.

While the MDAX Performance Index smashed 0.03% or 10.13 points to $35,733 per share.

In China, the Shanghai Composite soared 1.16% with a net gain of $39.85. This sent the stocks higher at $3,486.83 per share.

In the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the Nikkei 225 led the gains by 0.72% with a net addition of $198.79. This sent the stocks up at $27,623 per share.
