U.S. Stocks Rallied as Investors Eyes Fed Decision

On Tuesday, July 27, U.S. stocks rallied following Monday’s climb as investors are eyeing the upcoming Federal Reserve monetary policy decision on Wednesday.

The benchmark S&P 500 climbed 0.24% with a net gain of $10.51. This sent the stocks higher at $4,422 per share.

Its gains were led by Hasbro Inc which rose 12.24% or 11.31 points to $103.72 per share.

This was followed by Aon PLC which progressed 8.21% or 19.08 points to $251.56 per share.

In addition, Live Nation Entertainment Inc jumped 5.75% or 4.47 points to $82.18 per share.

Moreover, the Dow Jones Industrial Average also climbed 0.24% with a net increase of $82.76. This sent the stocks above at $35,144 per share.

Its top performers include Dow Inc which spiked 3.16% or 1.90 points to $62.01 per share.

It was followed by Intel Corp which rose 2.47% or 1.31 points to $54.31 per share.

Also, Chevron Corp ameliorated 2.11% or 2.09 points to $100.95 per share.

Furthermore, the NASDAQ Composite Index hopped 0.03% with a net addition of $3.72. This sent the stocks up at $14,841 per share.

Its best performers were led by Bit Digital Inc which smashed 109.69% or 4.64 points to $8.87 per share.

This was followed by The9 Ltd ADR which soared 54.38% or 4.72 points to $13.40 per share.

Additionally, Flora Growth Corp also gained 49.67% or 1.50 points to $4.52 per share.

Global Stocks Mixed

Consequently, the MSCI Global Index was also boosted 0.26% with a net gain of $2.02 which sent the stocks high at $3,080.40 per share.

However, global stocks were mixed as London’s FTSE 100 Index declined 0.03% or 2.15 points to $7,025 while the FTSE All Share Index rose 0.02% or 0.87 points to $4,026.

In the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, both the DAX and the MDAX Performance Index plunged 0.32% or 50.31 points at $15,619 and 0.21% or 74.67 points to $35,089, respectively.

Meanwhile, Asia Pacific stocks were mostly up as Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index lost 1.02% or 267.38 points to $25,924.94 per share.

In China, the SSE Composite Index and the SZSE Component Index both rose 0.14% or 4.96 points to $3,472.40 and 0.02% or 3.19 points to $14,634.04, respectively.

Likewise, Japan’s Nikkei 225, South Korea’s KOSPI, and Australia’s ASX 200 all increased 0.49% to $27,971.31, 0.60% to $3,244.46, and 0.54% to $7,433.90, respectively.
