Microsoft Will Present the Next Generation of Windows

The tech giant will present the next generation of its operating system on June 24. The company will unveil the next generation of Windows at an event that will be held online at 11 a.m ET. The company’s CEO Satya Nadella will be there, along with Panos Panay, Microsoft’s chief product officer.

One week ago he mentioned main enhancements to the PC operating system for developers and creators. Keeping developers on its platforms is very important for the tech giant. The company is trying to please programmers. If developers become less interested in building and updating apps for Windows, organizations might consider using other options.

In conjunction with the annual Build conference, the company released a 43-page “book of news” detailing its updates. The preview of Azure Confidential Ledger, a tool for storing critical data is just one of many updates. It said the service runs on special hardware-secure enclaves and is tamper-proof.

Microsoft will start a preview of the recording of calls in audio as well as video format, just like in Teams. Also, there are new open-source user-interface components people can plug into applications when working with Azure Communications Services.

Microsoft and its plans

The company’s CEO made Windows remarks last week shortly after Microsoft announced that it won’t ship Windows 10X. That operating system was originally designed for dual-screen devices such as the Surface Pro. However, the company changed its decision regarding Surface Pro.

The tech giant then honed its focus on single-screen PCs such as laptops for Windows 10X. However, on May 18 the company stated that instead of bringing a product called Windows 10X to market in 2021, Microsoft will use that experience to accelerate the integration of key 10X technology into other parts of Windows as well as products at the company.

It announced the latest Windows 10 update in May with only slight changes.

One of the most famous companies in the world is working on an update to Windows with the code name Sun Valley. That update includes a more modern look, with rounded corners coming to components such as the Start menu. The tech giant could ship a revamp of its Windows app store. The new version would allow developers to use third-party commerce systems, alongside the Sun Valley.

Windows is the main player when it comes to an operating system for personal computers. Microsoft makes a lot of money thanks to its operating system. It pushed two updates each year to its Windows 10 operating system since it first became available in 2015.
