Microsoft 365 instead of Office 365 from 2020 April 21

Today Microsoft announced that Office 365 would become Microsoft 365 (M. 365) on April 21. In other words, it can be a “subscription for your life.” With new artificial intelligence, cloud-powered experiences, and reach templates and contents. A M. 365 Family subscription (up to six people) and Microsoft 365 Personal, on April 21, will replace Office 365 Home and Office 365 Personal. The pricing remains the same: $10 per month and 7$ per month, respectively. The Microsoft 365 plans are including everything already in Office 365, including technical support, security features, 60 skype minutes, 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage per person, desktop Office apps, plus the new Office features also announced today. Those features are spread across Microsoft Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Although the browser does not require a M. 365 subscription, of course, even Edge is getting new consumer features).

Microsoft 365 sounds very familiar. It is because back in July 2017, M. 365 debuted for businesses. The more expensive M. 365 Business and Microsoft 365 Enterprise are management functionality and business-specific security. Half billion people are using the free Office services and applications (OneDrive, OneNote, Outlook, Skype, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) for the web, Android, iOS, macOS, and windows. Microsoft announced that more than 38 million consumers are subscribing to office 365. This number is up from January’s 37.2 million. There are over 200 million monthly active Office 365 business users, by comparison.

Microsoft 365 and its Features

Microsoft started to roll out new Office features today (over the next few months, reaching its 38 million subscribers), “365” branding nonsense aside. They are supposed to help you deepen your connection to the people in your life, become a better manager of your finances, designer, presenter, and writer. Microsoft unveiled a Microsoft Family Safety app and Microsoft Teams for consumers who arrive in the coming months.

Microsoft Corporation

Subscribers of the Microsoft 365 get over 175 looping videos and 8,000 images from Getty Images. Moreover, it includes 2,800 new icons and 300 new fonts for using Excel and Word. They will also get around 200 new premium templates for PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. The models include birth announcements, newsletters, wedding invitations, and resumes. Moreover, they include reward charts and coloring books for kids.

Word will not get new features. Nevertheless, the artificial intelligence-powered Microsoft Editor is accessible across Outlook.com and Word. Plus, it has Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome extensions. Everyone can use the basic capabilities of the Editor. Nevertheless, Microsoft 365 Family and Personal subscribers will have access to the advanced style and grammar refinements.

Unlike Word, Excel will get a new feature that is available to Office insiders this spring. Moreover, starting in the United States, Microsoft 365 subscribes will get a bunch of new features in the coming months.

Money in Excel will help you analyze, manage, and track your spending. The feature can connect to your credit card and bank accounts. Moreover, it can import your account balances and transactions, providing personalized insights. For instance, Money in Excel tells you how much you send on categories like groceries each month.

Conclusion

All in all, Microsoft 365 is suggesting many new features, fonts, etc. Let’s hope that it will be useful for us and will help us become more professional.
