Japan Stocks Up as Nikkei 225 Climbed 0.32%, China Down

On Friday, August 6, Japan stocks were up as the Nikkei 225 increased 0.32%. Meanwhile, China’s Shanghai Composite and Shenzhen Component declined.

In the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Nikkei 225 led the gains as it rose 0.32% with a net addition of $88.64. This sent the stocks higher at $27,816.76 per share.

Its best performers include Fujikura Ltd which climbed 16.85% or 93.00 points to $5.87 per share.

Then, Nikon Corp raised 9.11% or 96.00 points to $10.47 per share. Also, Konami Holdings Corp progressed 8.25% or 490.00 points to $58.55 per share.

While the benchmark’s worst performers include Koe Steel Ltd which plummeted 9.95% or 75.00 points to $6.18 per share.

Furukawa Electric Co Ltd also lost 6.39% or 174.00 points to $23.20 per share. Additionally, Sharp Corp plunged 5.78% or 97.00 points to $14.40 per share.

Moreover, Japan’s broadest TOPIX Index also improved 0.03% with a net gain of $0.53. This sent the stocks above at $1,929.51 per share.

On the other hand, China’s Shenzhen Component Index fluctuated 0.26% with a net loss of $38.02. This sent the stocks to the bottom at $14,834.20 per share.

The same with the Shanghai Composite Index which also declined 0.48% with a net change of $16.70. This sent the stocks below at $3,449.85 per share.

Shenzhen Lifotronic Technology Co Ltd led its losses as it fell 13.03% or 3.49 points to $3.60 per share.

Then, Nanjing Vishee Medical Technology Co Ltd followed. It also subsided 10.18% or 12.60 points to $17.20 per share.

Asia Pacific Stocks

For the rest of the Asia Pacific region, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng collapsed 0.04% with a net loss of $11.87. This sent the stock below at $26,192.82 per share.

Its worst performers include Wuxi Biologics (Cayman) Inc which decreased 4.16% or 5.40 points to $15.99 per share.

Then, Xinyi Solar Holdings Ltd dropped 3.90% or 0.70 points to $2.22. Also, Country Garden Services Holdings Co Ltd slipped 3.38% or 2.00 points to $7.35 per share.

Likewise, South Korea’s KOSPI crashed 0.28% with a net decline of $9.17. This sent the stocks down to $3,266.96 per share.

Meanwhile, Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 climbed 0.13% with a net gain of $9.60. This sent the stocks higher at $7,520.70 per share.
