European Stocks Climbed as the MSCI World Index Gained 0.08%

On Wednesday, August 11, European stocks climbed as the three major stock markets in the region were all up. Also, the MSCI World Index increased 0.08%.

The pan-European STOXX 600 spiked 0.35% with a net gain of $1.64. This sent the stocks higher at $472.32 per share.

The same with the European STOXX 50 which smashed 0.26% with a net addition of $10.67. This sent the stocks above at $4,187.82 per share.

In the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, the MDAX Performance Index led the gains of the European stocks. It smashed 0.68% or 243.44 points to $35,850 per share.

Its best performers include HelloFresh SE which progressed 9.22% or 7.08 points to $98.30 per share.

Then, Shop Apotheke Europe NV grew 7.01% or 8.80 points to $157.51 per share. Also, Duerr AG rose 6.08% or 2.52 points to $51.57 per share.

Likewise, the DAX Index rose 0.16% or 25.30 points to $15,771 per share.

In the London Stock Exchange, the FTSE All Share Index improved 0.42% or 17.00 points to $4,110 per share.

Consequently, the FTSE 100 Index boosted 0.40% or 28.74 points to $7,161 per share.

Flutter Entertainment PLC led its gains as it tweaked 7.81% or 1,010.00 points to $19,294.24 per share.

Then, Informa PLC jumped 4.72% or 24.00 points to $532.00 per share. Additionally, Taylor Wimpey PLC hopped 2.47% or 4.30 points to $246.88 per share.

In the Paris Stock Exchange, the CAC 40 Index rallied 0.10% or 7.03 points to $6,820 per share.

Global Stocks Mixed as the European Stocks Up

Furthermore, the MSCI World Index grew 0.08% with a net gain of $2.43. This sent the stocks higher at $3,099.49 per share.

In the Asia Pacific region, Japan’s TOPIX Index led the gains as it smashed 0.88% or 16.99 points to $1,953.27 per share.

In China, the Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.27% or 9.55 points to $3,539.48 per share.

The same with the Shenzhen Component Index which rose 0.15% or 22.16 points to $15,079.75 per share.

On Wall Street, the NASDAQ Composite Index declined 0.49% with a net loss of $72.09. This sent the stocks to the bottom at $14,788 per share.

Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average raised 0.46% or 162.82 points to $35,265 per share. Also, the benchmark S&P 500 grew 0.10% or 4.40 points to $4,437 per share.
