EU Stocks Ended Lower, DAX Led Losses by 1.15%

On Wednesday’s close, June 23, EU stocks ended lower between 0.22% to 1.15% as Germany’s DAX index led the losses.

The FTSE 100 index plummeted 0.22% or 15.95 points, sending the stocks to the bottom at $7,074.06.

Also, the Swiss Market Index sank 0.70% or 83.86 points, sending the stocks down at $11,898.62.

Furthermore, the Euronext 100 also plunged 0.73% or 9.36 points, sending the stocks on the ground at $1,268.85.

Moreover, the CAC 40 also decreased 0.91% or 60.43 points, sending the stocks below at $6,551.07.

Consequently, the DAX Performance-Index declined 1.15% or 179.94 points, sending the stocks lower at $15,456.39.

Meanwhile, at Frankfurt’s close, the MDAX index and TecDax index both shrank 0.98% and 0.97%, respectively.

Germany’s losses were led by the Retail, Chemicals, and Insurance sectors.

DAX’s worst performers of the session, which led it to the pit includes MTU Aero Engines NA O.N falling 2.36% or 5.20 points which traded at 214.70.

This was followed by Volkswagen AG VZO O.N, which flopped 2.18% or 4.88 points ending at 218.78.

Also, Covestro AG contributed to the benchmark’s losses by 2.12% or 1.180 points to 54.440.

Meanwhile, the index’s best performers of the sessions include Vonovia SE, which climbed 0.26% or 0.14 points and traded at 54.86.

This was followed by Adidas AG, which increased 0.21% or 0.60 points and ended at 291.25.

Moreover, Siemens AG Class also gained 0.11% or 0.15 points to 137.19.

At Frankfurt Stock Exchange, falling stocks outnumbered the advancing firms by 448 to 242, and 66 finished unchanged.

CAC 40 Followed DAX Fall

The stocks of France were lowered on Wednesday’s close as CAC 40 followed the fall of Germany’s DAX index.

French’s losses were led by the sectors in the Food & Drugs, Gas & Water, and General Financials.

The index’s worst performers of the sessions include Kering SA, which tumbled 2.59% or 22.50 points to trade at 739.40.

This was followed by Orange SA, which fell 2.54% or 0.25 points and ended at 9.66.

Also, Safran SA declined 2.09% or 2.64 points to 123.90.

Meanwhile, the benchmark’s best performers of the session were Teleperformance SE which soared 2.60% or 8.60 points and traded at 339.90.

This was followed by Pernod Ricard SA, which rose 1.97% or 3.55 points and ended at 183.50.

Also, EssilorLuxottica SA climbed 1.96% or 2.94 points to 152.96.

At the Paris Stock Exchange, the falling stocks outperformed the advancing firms by 382 to 206 while 80 ended steady.
