Crypto.com is a Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency exchange platform. The company promoted Eric Anziani, the chief operating officer, to the President.
Anziani will oversee the company’s operations, which include customer experience, onboarding, and international payments, in his expanded role as President. In addition, he will be in charge of the company’s leadership strategy, product, sales, international expansion, data, research, and blockchain integration.
Anziani held various leadership positions at Crypto.com, most recently as senior VP of group strategy. He was the company’s chief strategy officer before becoming COO.
During his tenure, the French regulator granted Crypto.com Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP) status. In addition, the exchange received in-principal and provisional licenses in Singapore and Dubai, respectively, as well as regulatory clearance in the United Kingdom, Cyprus, and the Cayman Islands.
He’s also worked with major brands on Crypto.com partnerships. The crypto exchange has signed multiple lucrative deals, including one with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Crypto.com is one of the top spenders in sports.
With more than 16 years of experience in fintech, payments, financial services, and e-commerce strategy and partnerships, Anziani is a polished leader. Before Crypto.com, Anziani worked for Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, PayPal, and the Global Fashion Group in London, Paris, Singapore, and Tokyo. He previously worked as a Group Director for Strategic Programs for two years at Crypto.com, which he joined from the Global Fashion Group.
Crypto.com has 70 million users worldwide and holds the top five global exchanges by spot volume. Additionally, it claims to have a matching engine. This engine can handle 2.7 million transactions per second with 50-microsecond core latency.
The exchange has passed Type ll Service Organization Control (SOC 2) certification audits for security and data privacy practices. This demonstrates its credibility. The security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of customer data across solutions. These are all assessed using industry-standard SOC 2 certification criteria. Crypto.com’s ability to implement critical security measures and maintain compliance over an extended period is assured.
