On Thursday, Bitcoin notched a fresh all-time high as investors cheered on the successful debut of its first US futures exchange-traded fund.
The world’s largest cryptocurrency soared to 3.90% to $66,398.25 with a 24-hour change of $1,947.83.
Currently, it holds a market capitalization of $1.24 trillion. In addition, it has a 24-hour volume of $2.69 billion with a $63,772.88 low and a $66,974.77 high.
In early trading, the BTC continued to widen beyond the $63,500.00 resistance zone.
Consequently, it crossed the $65,000.00 key resistance and the 100 hourly simple moving average.
Remarkably, the virtual currency soared above the $65,500.00 resistance and touched a new record high.
As of writing, Bitcoin corrects its gains and could trade below the $66,000.00 level.
Subsequently, there is a break under the 23.60% Fibonacci retracement level of the uptrend motion from the $61,320.00 low to $66,982 high.
Accordingly, there is immediate support along with the $64,200.00. Also, a crucial bullish trend line forms with support near the $63,000.00 level.
On the positive side, Bitcoin’s initial resistance lies beside $65,200.00, whereas the first main resistance is close to $65,500.00.
Remarkably, a significant price gain above the $65,500.00 resistance could lead to a succeeding upward movement.
Furthermore, the next major resistance is near the $66,800 level. An increase to it could push the Bitcoin price towards $68,000.00.
However, if it failed to cross the $65,500.00 resistance zone, it could extend its downside correction. Then, its immediate support on the downside is close to $64,200.00.
Meanwhile, the first Bitcoin ETF launch is a landmark for the crypto industry, mirroring greater acceptance on Wall Street.
Following the hike, Ethereum skyrocketed 11.96% to $4,325.31. It holds a market capitalization of $507.90 billion and a 24-hour volume of $1.96 billion.
Similarly, Ripple’s XRP boosted 4.40% to $1.15. It has a market capitalization of $115.45 billion and a 24-hour volume of $4.59 billion.
Then, Cardano surged 7.02% to $2.29. It has a market capitalization of $74.14 billion and a 24-hour volume of $331.25 million.
At the same time, Polkadot climbed 8.75% to $41.06. It holds a market capitalization of $44.86 billion and a 24-hour volume of $2.62 billion.
