AvaTrade

Introduction

(4)

AvaTrade started its operations in 2006 and has continued to be a key market player in the industry throughout the years.

According to the AvaTrade website, the company was created as a combined effort of financial professionals and experts in web-commerce and that its goal is to perfect the online experience for retail traders.

The company has offices in multiple locations all over the world, and its headquarters is located in Dublin, Ireland.

AvaTrade also boasts a 200,000 registered customer count, and a total trading volume that surpasses $60 billion per month.

In this review, we will explore the pros and cons of AvaTrade and its trading platform to try and answer the commonly asked questions from every trader.

Account Types

The first thing we found interesting is AvaTrade’s account offers. In addition, they offer a standard account for the lowest initial deposit of $100, but as that amount increases to, or even past, the given thresholds for each label, so are the benefits and features delivered to the account holder.

AvaTrade’s account types are namely Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Ava Select.

However, the wide range of assets they cover is also vast, which is to be expected from a well-established company that has been in the business for more than ten years.

Trading Conditions

Everything we’ve tackled so far might sound too good to be accurate and seems enticing especially to people who are just planning to begin trading without actually thinking through about the risks and conditions that come with the activity.

AvaTrade, however, reminds users of these and warns that profit is not guaranteed and that trading could be hazardous.

On their website, AvaTrade informs its users:

Risk Warning:
Trading CFD’s on margin carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all investors.

TRADING CHARGES:
All trading performed on this website/platform shall be subject to the following potential charges:

  • SPREADS
  • OVERNIGHT INTEREST

Conclusion – Is AvaTrade good?

In conducting this review, we did have our expectations for AvaTrade as they are one of the first online brokers to specialize in multi-asset trades and competitive spread offers and to say that we were surprised would be a lie.

We, however, found some issues that ticked us off a little bit.

5 days of withdrawal time for the more affordable account types is just frustrating on our part. We don’t know about you, but sometimes for the sake of orderly and systematic financial organization, we like our money put immediately where they belong, and 5 days withdrawal just delays that significantly.

We also would have loved it if Metatrader 5 was an available option for the platforms as it has more advanced features and functionality. It is also quickly catching up to its predecessor, the Metatrader 4, in terms of popularity among traders all around the globe. We also thought that most of the platforms still really lack news and research use.

That’s not to say that that AvaTrade’s platforms are terrible though. We had a great experience with the flexibility that they provided us especially with the AvaTradeGO, a trading app dedicated for traders on the go and has a user-friendly dashboard without compromising the most advanced features that can be found on most similar apps.

Overall, we think going with AvaTrade is a great decision. If you’re one those people who can quickly deal with a long waiting time for withdrawals and just shrug it off or those who don’t really look for more when it comes to a trading interface, then, you wouldn’t really have any issues on relying on your trading activities with them.

Also, we have to mention that there’s a welcome bonus when opening an account with AvaTrade.

For a minimum $1000 initial deposit, you get a $200 bonus to your newly-opened account, and you receive more as your initial deposit increases.

So, is AvaTrade good? Yes. At least, in our experience, we believe it is.
