Asia Pacific Stocks Mostly Up, Japan’s TOPIX Declined 0.60%

On Wednesday, August 4, Asia Pacific stocks were mostly up. Meanwhile, Japan’s broader TOPIX index declined 0.60% and Nikkei 225 also lost 0.30%.

In China, the Shenzhen Component Index climbed 0.93% with a net gain of $137.70. This sent the stocks higher at $14,874.62 per share.

The same with the Shanghai Composite Index which jumped 0.56% with a net increase of $19.31. This sent the stocks up at $3,467.30 per share.

Its best performers include Thinkon Semiconductor Jinzhou Corp which rose 16.69% or 12.16 points to $13.16

Then, Jiangsu Cnano Technology Co Ltd progressed 13.29% or 19.10 points to $25.10 per share.

Also, Ningbo Ronbay New Energy Technology rallied 12.39% or 15.23 points to $21.39 per share.

Likewise, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index ameliorated 1.03% or 269.95 points to $26,464.77 per share.

BYD Co Ltd led the benchmark’s gains. It soared 7.03% or 18.20 points to $35.66 per share.

Sunny Optical Technology Group Co Ltd followed. It raised 6.90% or 15.80 points to $31.49 per share.

AAC Technologies Holdings Inc also contributed to the index’s gains. It increased 6.09% or 2.85 points to $6.39 per share.

Moreover, Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 boosted 0.35% with a net addition of 25.80 points to $7,500.30 per share.

Its top performers include Adbri Ltd which smashed 4.38% or 0.16 points to $2.82 per share.

Then, Pilbara Minerals Ltd grew 4.31% or 0.09 points to $1.52 per share.

Additionally, Blackmores Ltd tweaked 3.84% or 2.79 points to $55.80 per share.

Japan Stocks Down

On the other hand, the stocks of Japan were down on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

The broader TOPIX index plummeted 0.60% with a net loss of $11.62. This sent the stocks to the bottom at $1,919.52 per share.

The same with the Nikkei 225 which also subsided 0.31% with a net decline of $86.00. This sent the stocks below at $27,555.83 per share.

Its worst performers include Nichirei Corp which fell 11.77% or 353.00 points to $24.25 per share.

Then, Mitsui E&S Holdings Co Ltd plunged 8.65% or 45.00 points to $4.35 per share.

Lastly, Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha Ltd also pulled the benchmark down. It crashed 6.14% or 255.00 points to $35.74 per share.
