A Singaporean Prefab Nestron and its Design of Houses

Nestron plans to manufacture an eco-friendly, $21,500 tiny home known as The Legend One.

The company was founded three years ago. It has two tiny-home series in its current product lineup. The Cube and the Legend are the names of those. They have differing exterior appearances. Nevertheless, they have similar interior amenities, like an artificial intelligence system and eco-friendly components.

The Cube tiny homes are the company’s more popular series. Those homes have ‘futuristic’ designs. It is according to their maker. The legend series was created to appeal to the conventional tiny-home crowd, to contrast this modern, spaceship-like look.

Choco Toh works at Nestron’s marketing team. He/she told Business Insider in an email interview that the decision to design the Legend series was because they wanted to cater to clients who like traditional cabin0style tiny or container houses.

The coronavirus pandemic negatively affected Nestron, like most companies.

Nevertheless, the coronavirus pandemic did not affect the production too heavily. But many of the company’s employees left Singapore. Thus, workers dispersed across several time zones. That subsequently reduced the labor force of Nestron, according to Toh.

Toh wrote that their customers need something mobile-friendly, affordable, and convenient. That is what Nestron is providing. Moreover, Toh wrote that their products create a distance that complies with the new normal social distancing. Thus, their clients are in a safe community.

Most clients of Nestron come from the United States. The company is working now with a few parties. It is to set a local distributor as soon as possible.

Also, the tiny home’s eco-friendly parts and amenities reflect the appreciation for nature. The Legend One, like all Nestron’s homes, uses several components to make tiny living greener. The components include the option for solar power, electric heating, and rainwater collection.

Nestron said that its tiny home production uses one percent of the water needed to build a typical house, all while consuming less concrete, coal, and brick. Thus, the fact of the tiny living unit is foundation-less is leaving fewer marks on the environment.

Nestron said that it used a warm color scheme around the interior to make the home feel cozy. Nevertheless, the exterior comes in multiple color options.

The tiny home layout is like that of a studio apartment, with its bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, and living room all inside the 167.92-square foot space.

That includes a kitchen with a sink and stovetop hood.

That is the brief examination of Nestron’s design of the tiny houses.
